Print drawings and lists

Shop and design-intent drawings, printing any tab, and units of measure.

Who can do this: Anyone in your company who can open the project. The proposal must be Finalized.

The Drawings tab shows a drawing of every elevation (one opening or wall of glass) in the proposal, with the sizes the crew needs. It opens once you finalize the proposal. From this tab and the list tabs you can print, and on the list tabs you can choose how sizes are shown.

View the drawings

  1. Open the project, then open the proposal.
  2. Click the Drawings tab.
  3. Click the view name at the top of the tab and choose Shop drawings or Design intent drawings.

Each elevation shows:

  • Specification group: the specification (group of elevations with the same system and finish) it belongs to, its product system and, if it has one, its product approval.
  • Quantity and Finish.
  • Typical frame face: the usual width of the frame's face.
  • Rough opening (W x H): the width and height of the opening in the wall that the frame fits into.
  • Shim spaces at the left, right, top and bottom: the gaps left between the frame and the rough opening, filled with shims (thin spacers) at install.
  • Sill flashing: the space allowed at the bottom for sill flashing, the metal piece under the frame that sheds water.

All drawing sizes are in inches.

Click View full size on a drawing to open it larger in a new browser tab.

If you just saved an elevation, you may see The elevation drawing is being generated. Check back in a moment.

You can print the Budget, Parts, Frame, Glass and Drawings tabs.

  1. Open the tab and choose the view you want.
  2. Click Print.
  3. Pick a printer, or save as PDF, in your browser's print window.

Printed lists start with the view name, the project name and the proposal number and name. Printed drawings put each elevation on its own page, with the project name and the proposal number and name at the top. Wide drawings are turned sideways to fit the page.

Choose how sizes are shown

On the Parts, Frame and Glass tabs, a units menu at the top of the tab sets how part sizes are shown. Your choice stays the same as you switch views and tabs on this proposal. It starts from the Units display in your profile, or from the project's units if you chose Use the project's units display there.
