Update your profile
View and edit your name, phone number, time zone and how lengths are shown.
Who can do this: Everyone, for their own profile.
Your profile holds your name, contact details and the way BidUnity shows dates and lengths to you. To open it, click the person icon at the top right of any page, then click Profile and settings. You can also choose Settings, then Profile.
What your profile shows
The My profile page lists:

| Phone | Your phone number. |
| Time zone | The time zone BidUnity uses to show you dates and times. |
| Last login | When you last signed in. |
| Member since | When your account was created. |
| Units display | How lengths are shown to you. |
| Project units | Whether a project's own units setting wins over yours. |
| User type | Standard user, Company admin or Field/shop worker. |
| Roles | Your work roles, or No special roles assigned. |
Only a company admin can change your user type and work roles. See Manage users.
Edit your profile
- On My profile, click Edit.
- In Edit my profile, change any of these:
- First name and Last name. Both are required, up to 30 characters each.
- Phone number. Enter your full number, including the area code, or the country code if you need one.
- Time zone. This sets how dates and times are shown to you.
- Units display. Pick how lengths are shown, for example Decimal inches (5.25"), Millimeters (20.3 mm) or one of the fractional inch formats, such as Inches, 16ths reduced (3/16" or 1/4").
- Project units. Choose Use the project's units display to let each project decide how lengths are shown, or Use my preferred units display to always see your own format.
- Click Save changes.
You can't change your email address here. To change it, email support@bidunity.com.
What happens next
- You see Profile updated, and the page shows your new details.
- If something goes wrong, you see Could not save profile. Check the fields and try again.
