The main menu, Recent, header icons, profile menu and footer, and what Access denied means.
Every page in BidUnity has the same header across the top and a footer at the bottom. Some menu items only appear for certain user types or work roles. The notes below say who sees what.
The main menu
The left side of the header holds the BidUnity logo and the main menu. Click the logo to go to your dashboard.

| Projects | Opens your list of projects. Field/shop workers only see the projects they are scheduled for in the calendar. See Find a project. |
| Recent | The projects you opened lately, each with the proposals you opened in it. Until you open some, it says Your recent projects and proposals will appear here. |
| Catalog | Systems & parts by vendor and All systems. Company admins at companies that BidUnity has linked to their own vendor also see Seller vendor parts. See Catalog. |
| Tools | Tasks, Calendar and Time clock. Company admins also see Procurement. |
| Reports | Task reports for everyone. Work in progress for everyone except Field/shop workers. Timesheet summary, Timesheet by project and Company bidding activity for company admins and users with the Timesheet Admin work role. See Reports. |
| Settings | Your Profile and the company settings pages. Company admins at companies set up as sellers also see Seller margin schedule. See Settings. |
Everyone can open the company settings pages, but only company admins can change them. Other users see each page in view-only form. Most pages say so in a note at the top.
On a narrow screen, such as a phone, the menu folds into a menu button at the top left. Tap it to open the same menu.
There is no search box in the header. To find a project, use the list on Projects.
The icons on the right
| Icon | What it does |

| Feedback (speech bubble, labeled Send feedback) | Opens a form to send a message and screenshots to BidUnity support. See Send feedback. |
| Tasks (stacked check boxes) | Shows how many open tasks are waiting for you, in a red badge. It counts tasks assigned to you and unassigned tasks for any of your work roles. Point at it to see the count, and click it to open Tasks showing your open tasks. The badge stops at 20+ and refreshes about every 30 seconds. See Find your tasks. |
| Person (round button) | Opens your profile menu. It shows your name and email address, with Profile and settings and Logout. |
The footer
The footer shows the copyright line and links to BidUnity's Terms and Privacy pages.
When a page won't open
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| Access denied | Your user type or work roles don't allow you to open this page. For example, Field/shop workers can't open the Work in progress report or a project's Terms, Change orders and Billing tabs. Ask a company admin if you think you need access. Click Go back home to return to BidUnity. |
| Page not found | The page doesn't exist, or the link is wrong. Click Go back home. |
| Something went wrong | BidUnity hit a problem loading the page. Click Try again. If the problem continues, reload the page. If it keeps happening, send feedback. On a few pages the message reads "Something went wrong!" and also offers Go back home. |
