Tasks

Find your tasks

The Tasks list, the task icon, a project's task list and filters.

Who can do this: Everyone in your company, including Field/shop workers. Everyone can see all of the company's tasks, including tasks on projects they can't open.

You can see tasks for all your projects in one list, or just the tasks for one project.

Check the task icon

The checklist icon at the top of every page shows how many open tasks are waiting for you. Point at it to see "No open tasks", "1 open task" or the number of open tasks. A red badge shows the count, up to "20+".

The count includes tasks assigned to you, plus unassigned tasks for any of your work roles. Your work roles are the roles ticked for you under Permissions on the Users page. The count refreshes about every 30 seconds.

Click the icon to open the Tasks list showing your open tasks.

Open the Tasks list

  1. Click Tools, then Tasks.
  2. Choose whose tasks to show: My tasks or All tasks. My tasks means tasks assigned to you, plus unassigned tasks for your work roles. All tasks shows every task in your company.
  3. Choose which tasks to show: Open, Closed or All status.
  4. Click a column heading to sort by it. Click it again to reverse the order.
  5. Click a task to open it.

The list starts on My tasks and Open. The page title follows your choices, for example "My open tasks" or "All closed tasks".

To see only overdue tasks, use the overdue links on your dashboard or on a project's Home page. The list then shows open tasks whose due date has passed, for example "My overdue tasks". Choosing Closed or All status leaves the overdue view.

See one project's tasks

  1. Open the project.
  2. In the project sidebar, click Tasks.

The Project tasks page has the same filters as the Tasks list, but only shows tasks for that project. You also start workflows from here. See Start a task workflow.
