BidUnity Mobile
Who uses the phone app, its tabs, refreshing and offline use, and how phone time shows up on the web.
BidUnity Mobile is the BidUnity phone app for iOS and Android. Crews use it to clock in and out of jobs, see where they are scheduled today, and check their recent shifts. Anyone with an active BidUnity account can sign in, and the app is most useful for Field/shop workers (users who can only open the projects they are scheduled for in the calendar).
The three tabs
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| TIME CLOCK | Whether you are clocked in, and if so, the project, the scope of work and the activity you are on. Start and end shifts here. |
| SCHEDULE | The jobs you are scheduled for today. |
| HISTORY | Your shifts from the last 30 days. |
The gear icon at the top right of each tab opens Settings.
Refreshing and working offline
- Each screen loads fresh information when you open it and when you come back to the app. On HISTORY you can also pull down to refresh.
- Without a connection, the app keeps showing what it last loaded. Clocking in, clocking out, changing activity and editing shift times all need a connection. If you try without one, the app shows an error and nothing is recorded, so try again once you are back online.
- Times show in your phone's time zone.
How phone time shows up on the web
Your clock status is the same in BidUnity Mobile and on the web Time clock. You can clock in on your phone and clock out on the web, or the other way around.
Each shift you record on your phone lands in your company's timesheets in BidUnity, with the project, the activity, any injury report and what you accomplished. Timesheet Admins (a work role) and company admins review and approve those timesheets on the web. Once your day is approved, you can no longer change its times on your phone. See Calendar and time and Review and approve timesheets.
