Sign in and set up the app

You sign in to BidUnity Mobile with the same email and password you use for BidUnity on the web. If you don't have an account, ask a company admin to add you (see Manage users).

1. Open BidUnity Mobile.
2. Enter your Email and Password.
3. Tap Login.

If the app shows "Wrong email or password", check both and try again. The app shows the same message when you have no connection or your account is inactive. If your email and password are right, check your connection, or ask a company admin whether your account is active.

Allow notificationsCopy Anchor Link

The first time you tap Login, your phone asks whether BidUnity Mobile can send you notifications. If you allow them, you get a Clocked In or Clocked Out notification when you clock in or out somewhere else, such as on the web Time clock or on another phone. The phone you used to clock in or out doesn't get one. Tapping a notification opens the app.

If you don't allow notifications, the app shows a message after you sign in saying it couldn't set them up. The app still works. You just won't get these alerts.

The first time the app needs your location, your phone asks whether BidUnity Mobile can use it. The app records your location when you clock in, when you clock out, and when you tap Start Activity on the Change Activity screen. Your clock-in and clock-out locations show whether you were near the jobsite, both in your shift history and on the web timesheets.

Location is optional. You can clock in and out without it.

Tap the gear icon at the top right of any tab to open Settings. It shows:

• The app version.
• Your name and email.
• Your company.
• Location Permission: Enabled or Disabled - Tap to enable in Settings. Tap it to open your phone's settings for BidUnity Mobile, where you can turn location on or off.

You can't edit your profile or turn notifications off from this screen. Use your phone's settings for notifications.

Sign outCopy Anchor Link

1. Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
2. Tap Sign Out.

Signing out works even without a connection. The app returns to the sign-in screen.
