Edit, close or reopen a project

Change project details, close a finished project, or reopen it.

Who can do this: Anyone who can open the project.

You'll find these actions at the top right of the project's Home and Proposals tabs.

Edit project details

  1. Open the project.
  2. Click Project actions, then Edit project details.
  3. Change the Project name, Project type, Default length units or the site address. The site address can be in the United States or Canada: pick the Country first. For Canada, State becomes Province and ZIP code becomes Postal code. City and State (or Province) are still required, and the name must stay unique in your company.
  4. Click Update project.

When you save, BidUnity looks up the sales and use tax rates for a US site address again. If the lookup fails, your other changes are still saved, the project keeps its old rates, and you see "Project updated with warnings".

BidUnity doesn't look up tax rates for a Canadian address. When you save one, the project's rates are set to 7% and you see "Project updated with warnings".

New proposals you create start with the project's tax rates. A copied proposal keeps the rates of the proposal you copied, and proposals you already have keep theirs. To change a proposal's rates, see Set tax rates.

You can't edit a closed project. Reopen it first.
