Add project photos
Upload, describe, browse and delete project photos.
Who can do this: Anyone who can open the project. Field/shop workers can open only the projects they are scheduled for in the calendar.
The Photos tab keeps a project's site photos in one place for your team. Photos stay inside your company and don't show on the project's share link.
Upload photos
- Open the project and go to Photos.
- Click Upload photos and choose one or more photos. You can also drag photos from your computer anywhere onto the page.
Each photo must be an image file of 25 MB or less. BidUnity skips any file that isn't an image or is too large, and tells you which ones it skipped.
Images posted with a note on the Notes tab are saved here too. See Add project notes.
Browse photos
Pick a view with the toggle next to the photo count:
- Gallery view (the default) shows the photos as tiles. A photo posted with a note has a Note tag.
- List view shows a table with the columns Photo, Description, Dimensions, Size, Uploaded by and Created at. For a photo posted with a note, the note's text shows under the description, after Note:.
Click a photo to open it full screen. The viewer shows its description as a caption, followed by "Note:" and the note's text for a photo posted with a note. It also lets you zoom, and has thumbnails to move between photos.
Add or change a description
A description helps your team find a photo later, for example "North elevation before glazing".
- In List view, click the edit icon on the photo's row. In Gallery view, select one or more photos, then click Edit.
- Type in Description. If you selected several photos, each one has its own box.
- Click Done.
Delete photos
To delete one photo, click the delete icon on its row in List view, then click Delete photo.
To delete several:
- In Gallery view, hover over a photo and click its check circle. Do the same for each photo you want.
- Click Trash.
- Click Delete photos (or Delete photo, for one) to confirm.
Click Clear to unselect all photos without deleting them.
Anyone who can open the project can edit or delete any of its photos.
