Connect Google Calendar

Copy your BidUnity schedule events to your Google Calendar.

Who can do this: Every user, for their own account. Connecting copies only your own events, not anyone else's.

Connect your Google Calendar to see the schedule events assigned to you next to the rest of your day. The copy goes one way: BidUnity adds and updates events in Google Calendar, but changes you make in Google Calendar don't come back to BidUnity.

Connect your Google Calendar

  1. Click Settings, then Calendar.
  2. Under Google Calendar sync, click Set up Google Calendar sync.
  3. Sign in to your Google account and allow access to your calendar.
  4. Back in BidUnity, you see "Google Calendar connected". The card now says "Your Google Calendar sync is connected." and "Currently syncing to Primary."

Each Google account can be connected to only one BidUnity user. If another BidUnity user already connected it, you see a message saying so, and the connection isn't made.

If the connection stops working, click Reconnect Google Calendar sync and sign in again.

What happens next

Events are copied to your main (Primary) Google calendar:

  • When someone assigns an event to you, it's added to your Google Calendar.
  • When the event changes or is moved on the calendar, your Google copy updates.
  • When the event is deleted, it's removed from your Google Calendar.
  • When the event is reassigned to someone else, it's removed from your Google Calendar and added to theirs, if they have connected too.

Each copied event is titled with the project name. It includes the location, the notes and a link to the project's documents in BidUnity, and uses your Google Calendar's default reminders.

Some events aren't copied:

  • Events that were created before you connected.
  • Unassigned events.
  • Events for people whose accounts are no longer active.

If Google Calendar can't be reached, your change still saves in BidUnity.
